Trainee Service Advisor


Fitzpatrick’s Garage Group, established in 1951, operates a number of car dealerships covering Counties Kildare, Laois, Carlow and Offaly and holding franchises for Hyundai, Opel, Honda and Mercedes-Benz and are the authorised repairers for Toyota and Lexus.

We are currently recruiting for the position of Trainee Service Advisor to join our team in Kildare.


Responsibilities will include:

  • Assist in the day to day administration of our busy Service Departments
  • Dealing with customers in a courteous and professional manner
  • Appointment bookings, Job scheduling and liaising with our customers and internal departments
  • Liaise with the Workshop, Service Reception, Warranty and Parts Department
  • Maintain progress of customer vehicles undergoing maintenance and repair and liaise with each customer to keep them informed and advise of any additional work required
  • Preparation of Repair Estimates and final invoicing
  • Processing and settlement of warranty claims
  • Maintain product and technical knowledge across our full range of franchises
  • Job status monitoring and customer communication


The successful candidate will have:

  • Demonstrate a strong interest and knowledge of the motor industry
  • Be highly motivated and energetic
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Diligent with a flexible approach to work
  • Strong Computer Skills including MS Office
  • Have a full and clean valid driving licence
